Preparation of the cover
To create your personalised cover, get the above-mentioned materials;
using the dimensions of the CD-wallet as your starting point,
you will use the following formula to calculate the required dimensions
and borders:
For the two panels in rigid hardboard
H = height of the CD-wallet + 10 mm
W = 140 mm
For the small back in coating paper
H = 130 mm
W = 50mm
For the coating paper of the cover
H = height of the cardboard panels + 30 mm (15 mm border above
and 15 mm underneath to be flapped over)
W = width of the two cardboard panels + 62 m (15 mm border on
the right side + one cardboard panel + 32 mm free space + second
cardboard panel + 15 mm border on the left side)
Making the cover
Lay the coating paper back to front on a flat surface, square
it using the given formula, then mark with the pencil the reference
marks where the hardboard panel will be glued and glue the whole
surface of the paper;

put the hardboard panels on the paper, leaving the marked borders
and a central space of 32 mm.

Cut the four corners of the paper, leaving 1 mm distance from
the corner of the hardboard panel,

flap the paper borders towards the inside of every side of the
cover, beginning with the long ones (upper and lower) and then
flapping the short ones (right and left sides),

finally, glue the small back made in coating paper on the internal
side, at the centre of the cover.

Verify that there are no air bubbles on the external side of the
cover; if necessary, remove them by exercising a circular movement
with a soft cloth.
Try the cover on the CD-wallet to check if it has been made in
the right way and to see the space of the projecting flap on the
three outer sides which will be left free in the embedment step.
Make a hole with a 5-mm diameter on the right side of the cover,
leaving 20 mm distance from the border, then cut a 30-cm-long
piece of rubber band an insert the two ends in the hole and glue
about 10 mm of it on the interior side.

You will so have a practical fastening which can be used both
in the vertical and in the horizontal way.
Casing of the cd-wallet in the cover
Glue the last side of the CD-wallet and lean it on the right side
of the cover, putting it so that it is equidistant from every
border (as in the trial),

and repeat the same process for the first side.

Finally, put the CD-wallet you have made under a press (for example
under a heavy book) for twelve hours.
